As a person deeply focused on others, I often found myself immersed in their needs, occasionally losing sight of my own. This empathy, however, is one of my greatest strengths. As an artist, trainer, entrepreneur, and people person, the ability to understand others' perspectives, feelings, and needs—while not always prioritizing my own—has been invaluable.
In the past, my tendency to please others prevented me from reconnecting with my core values and needs, leading to feelings of being lost and, at times, irritation. This compelled me to withdraw and erect barriers to find the space to breathe and feel free.
Over time, I've developed strategies and gained insights that enable me to maintain connections with others while being guided by my core values. Through setting healthy boundaries and releasing the need to control others' perceptions of me, I've found liberation and happiness. I now cherish my ability to empathize with others, tuning into their worlds and needs when appropriate, and then refocusing on what's most important to me: my family, and my higher purpose and goals in life.
I hope you, too, experience a profound and healing shift.
